Defense Readiness Condition (DEFCON)

Defense Readiness Condition, or DEFCON, is an indicator of 5 stages of alertness ranging from 5 being the least severe to 1 being the most severe. The DEFCON scale is used in DoD to quickly and efficiently communicate the state of alertness in the clan. It is used to give information to members on how cautious they must be during war times. Below is a brief summary of all the DEFCON states and what they mean:
DEFCON: 5 - Lowest state of readiness
DEFCON: 4 - Increased state of readiness
DEFCON: 3 - War is on the horizon
DEFCON: 2 - War is iminent
DEFCON: 1 - Prepare for war

Here is a more in-depth summary of the different DEFCON states, and how they apply to members in situations of high tension between other clans, and even war situations:
DEFCON: 5 - Lowest state of alertness in the clan and hostility between other clans. If there is to threat of war or conflict, this is the state that DoD will be in. DoD games are to be invite only and guards are to be on low alert.
DEFCON: 4 - Increased state of alerness and awareness in the clan. There may be tension with other clans, and DoD members are to be cautious of who enters their games. Games are to be on invite only and guards are to be on medium alert for enemy activity.
DEFCON: 3 - High state of alerntess and readiness. There may be signs of a conflict, or even a conflict may be occurring. There is hostility with another clan or clans. Be very cautious of who is in your games, as tensions ar high among DoD and other clans. Games are to be on invite only and guards are to be on high alert for enemy activity.
DEFCON: 2 - Higher state of readiness and alerness. Tension with opposing clan(s) is enough to be prepared for raids and battles. Enemy attacks are not uncommon in this state, and games are to be on invite only. Guards are to be on higher alert and must protect the leaders of DoD, and have permission to open fire on enemies if fired upon first. War is iminent.
DEFCON: 1 - Highest state of alertness in DoD. This state is given during a state of war against another clan or clans. Games are to be on invite only, and meetings are to be closed as for the threat of a raid. Guards are to be on the highest state of alertness, and they must stay with and protect the leaders of DoD at all times. Both guards and DoD members are given permission to return fire if fired upon first. All DoD members are to have highest caution in practicing trainings. Raids and battles are to be expected in this DEFCON state.
