"The COAT Wars-June 2011
The COAT Wars was a series of wars against a clan called COAT. This was DoD's first major conflict ever and now is viewed upon as the conflict that shapes what clan we are today. The COAT Wars started with Camo Cam and Kim jong il 38's attempted assasination of the DoD leader, SOCOM 3rd Group. Later that week, battles were done on both DoD naval vessels and on Bungie made maps, all of which were DoD
Victories. These boosted DoD's morale which gave us a greater will to fight, but nearing the end of the war, a potential turn of the tide occured. However COAT slowly backed from the war until conflict came to a halt. However, prior to this, throughout the month of June 2011, the war was mainly vessel and fire base defenses, as well as repeated battles on Paradiso. The last major battle was the battle of the Spire, where DoD won by huge amounts because all COAT members had quit once DoD had a major lead. Overall, the COAT wars were a major DoD victory and COAT and DoD haven't been in touch since.
Dark Ages-August 2011
After the COAT wars had ended in early July 2011, DoD had lost huge amounts of members and was left with a corrupt, war-hungry government. DpD was small and didn't have the means to wage a war. However in August, things started looking better when DOD grew with BFBHug's join and the join of his friends. But when BFBHug left, his National Guardsmen left with him. Again, DoD was left with very few members. But then DoD created YouTube recruitment videos and recruits started pouring in.
An Age of Corruption-October 2011
As DoD grew, expanded, and increased, a new threat emerged, one that neither DoD nor SOCOM had never dealt with before: terrorism and spying. As DoD gained fame, we also gained enemies, and DoD was under attack by spies. These spies had to gain my trust and then get as many members as possible to leave and betray DoD. These spies crippled DoD for some time, as they got massive members to leave DoD. Officers and NCO's alike were subject to these terrorist actions.
Quiet Peacefull times...Sort of-November 2011
In October and November, DoD was in a conflict with the JFCA, but primarily this involved simple spying and intelligence operations. During this time, DoD was very small but was a group of close friends. This group was successful in what we attempted, each branch was small but the leaders were great. Though DoD was small, we prospered and had some great leaders and members like: GhostreconArmy, Zombie Fanboy, EliteODST, KayoKilla, ShowStopper, and plenty of others. (Biographies coming soon)

DoD/Creed Conflict-December 17th 2011
In December, DoD entered a conflict (NOT A WAR!) with the Creed clan. One day, the Creed leader, TerribleAUSTIN, invited SOCOM to a party where Creed requested a meeting. SOCOM was busy so a meeting was requested to be done in an XboxLIVE party, however AUSTIN refused. His stubborness led to immediate suspicion. An ambassador was sent with multiple guards. After being in the game for a few minutes a guard managed to sneak into the armory and get weapons. At this time DoD members were shot at by Creed. Instinctively, a DoD member threw a grenade. However, Creed's gunshot was apparently and accident. After a 10-15 second cease fire, Creed snuck behind the ambassadors and attempted to assasinate them. This resulted in a gunfight and then a "conflict", mainly over youtube, with Creed occured. Following the shootout, a large firefight ooccured near the beach of Hemmorhage, which was named the "Siege of Vanguard"
A New Kind of Warfare-February 2012
New enemies emerged in February, organizations based on inflicting terror on the DoD people. These organizations and individuals were highly anti-DoD, launching suprise attacks and using threats. New methods of warfare were needed, so more special operations and intelligence operations were put into place. DoD officials now constantly use these new tactics in this new era and truly have made warfare more difficult
DoD/Splinter Cell Conflict-March 2012-April 8th 2012
In late March 2012 to April 8 2012, a new clan, made up of several former DoD members. rose. Splinter Cell's goal was "to destroy corrupted clans in the community", but only wanted to destroy DoD The conflict involved mainly spying and espionage based operations on both sides. The conflict was covered in lies but most people trusted DoD and the truth was soon known to all. Splinter Cell members were brainwashed into an anti-DoD motive. The conflict is now over but some tensions still exist.
The 5 Hour War (D0D Vs CENTCOM) 18 June 2012
DoD members were invited to a CENTCOMs training session, which at the time DoD and CENTCOM were allies. During the session, DoD members were observing and assisting when Central Command members fired tank rounds towards DoD members. DoD members reacted firing gunshots back. Soon after, Central Command declared war on DoD. 2 battles were fought on Bungie maps, both of which DoD won by about double Central Command's score, annihilating CENTCOM. Finally, a raid was done where CENTCOM suprise attacked DoD. DoD forces took few casualties while CENTCOM's casualty count was horifically high.

DoD/NERV War-20 May 2012-25 June 2012
The DoD/NERV war started when DoD's ally, Voltage, was raiding Master Laglink, and called in allied support. DoD joined, not opening fire, but moving out of the spawn. Then Master laglink and KIA Tactician opened fire on DoD members so fire was returned. About 3-5 days later NERV declared war, and following NERV they were supported by their allies including the JFCA. The war consisted of DoD taking the offensive. DoD forces began raiding NERV bases, capturing NERV vessels and fortifications. DoD took few casualties during the offensive, however no MLG/Bungie battles were fought because NERV and JFCA officials claimed that bungie and MLG maps were not fair to fight on. DoD's offensive was extremely successful, demoralizing NERV forces until the only action against DoD was espionage. The war ended with a stalemate,. and following the stalemate came the JFCA's retreat of offensive actions against DOD. Only one defeat was suffered by DOD during the war, and that was when the World Retribution Clan spawn killed DOD on an impenetrable base. DOD took roughly 1/3 of NERV, JFCA, and WRC casualties.
DoD/CENTCOM War-26June2012-16July2012
The second DoD/CCM war was sparked with the massacring of innocent DoD members, this action was performed by CCM officers influenced by DHG Zerohawk. CCM's President had approved of this action, but at that time we were at peace. The war lasted for about a week until and unofficial peace treaty and a cease fire was created. But soon after, tensions continued to rise until action was taken again. The war heated up as clans in the community started picking sides like UUF, supporting CCM, United Nations supporting DoD, and many others waiting to see what happens before picking sides. The entire conflict was one of the largest conflicts DoD has faced, fighting coalition on coalition, clan on clan also fighting a media war and a war against espionage/intelligence. Soon after the conflict ended, Central Command lost many officials under Zerohawk's influence. In 2* July 2012 CCM's President, CCMCatastrophic had resigned his command of CCM.

New Changes-29July2012
In the midst of SOCOM's leave for a little over a week 2 respected DoD officers had left for reasons that sparked sight of needed changes. Slow changes were made but were found to not be moving forward fast enough. As several more members left and DoD had no enemies more than 1/3 of DoD's population. This provided DoD with more loyal and active members. Following this, DoD made many changes to the Chain of Command, branch structure, and positions. Though it was costly losing members, in the eyes of many DoD officials it seems better for the long run."

The Second Dark Ages-August 2012-November 2012
Over the remainder of the summer, DoD became more and more inactive. Officers would not be on, members would not show up, and very little was accomplished. Not many people played Halo: Reach in anticipation of Halo 4 set to be released in a few weeks. As the months went on, DoD slowly slipped away. SOCOM 3rd Group decided to branch off of DoD and create the SOCOM clan (Special Operations Command). This clan lasted for about a month and was stricly special forces missions. During this time, SOCOM won 5 MLG battles and 2 raids against other clans going undefeated. After a month, SOCOM 3rd Group decided to shut down SOCOM and return to DoD. On November 6, 2012, DoD Officially moved to Halo 4. New forge maps were created, and the thrill of Halo 4 caused many members to become more active. The all of a sudden in late November, the highly respected leader, SOCOM 3rd Group resigned from his position as leader of DoD. He was replaced by Brigadier General, S4M0AN Atua. After meeting with the cabinet, S4M0AN made the decision to shut DoD down. DoD members joined various clans and the Department of Defense was no more.
A New Era-December 2012
Still keeping in contact with old DoD members, lSAMOANl (S4M0AN Atua) decided to call them together to reform the Department of Defense clan. lSAMOANl, along with Syndrome I, x Inztinct, and pepemdc, agreed to bring back DoD. These members created maps, recruited, created the media, and prepared for the new DoD. These four members were the first of the new DoD, and the first to start a new era of DoD. This was the first time DoD was prepared to run without its creator, SOCOM 3rd Group. DoD prepared to recruit and set the official open date for December 31, 2012.
